Our pledge is to work with you and your healthcare provider to honor the birth plan you desire. At North Fulton Hospital, you can create the experience you wish. You may choose to use one of our relaxation tubs or bring your own birthing balls to aide the labor process. We also offer various delivery methods including natural birth, water birth and assisted delivery. Having your baby your way means you have many options to choose from, such as whether your partner, a doula, or others support you during labor and delivery. Also, you can choose to have your baby stay with you during the recovery period or be cared for by our nurturing staff. And after delivery, you may wish to indulge a bit. If so, we’re only happy to welcome outside purveyors of such services as massage therapy, hair styling, and manicures and pedicures. As a team, we’ll put it all together to make your experience the one you’ve dreamed of since you were a child yourself!
Sophistication, Experience, Warmth
To visit our spacious Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) suites is to experience the comforts of home—warm wall and fabric colors; traditional wooden furniture and floors; elegant crown molding; deep, relaxation tubs; and sleeper-sofas for dads. These LDR suites are where most women deliver their babies; however, excellent emergency care for either moms or babies is only steps away. We have on-staff perinatologists who are specially-trained in maternal-fetal medicine as well as on-site, 24/7, anesthesia coverage for immediate needs. Our neonatal intensive care (NICU) can handle pre-term and multiple births as well as complications. Safety and security are foremost at North Fulton Hospital, so our entire maternity area is equipped with an infant security system.
