Your Hospital Team
The Medical Staff
The Physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are a patient in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions regarding your illness.
A highly trained staff of Registered Pharmacists and Technicians are working to promote safe medication use. In addition to medication dispensing, some of the pharmacists' functions include identification of food/drug interactions, drug/drug interactions, medication dosage adjustments in consultation with your physician, patient education and drug therapy monitoring.
The Nursing Staff
Nursing care is provided 24 hours a day by a team of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and patient care technicians. Nursing Services are dedicated to meeting your nursing and personal care needs. Your nurse can use a wireless phone to facilitate quick and efficient communication with your physician. If your nurse has to answer the phone while in your room, he/she will step out for privacy, and will return as soon as possible after the call is completed. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. A Nursing Director is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care in each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or ask for the director if you have questions.
A Case Manager will be assigned during your hospitalization to assist in the coordination of your care, providing your insurance plan with information, and discharge planning arrangements. Our Case Management Team is made of highly experienced Registered Nurses and Social Workers that will work with you and your family during your stay at North Fulton Hospital.
Your Case Management Team can answer any of your questions not clinical in nature. They are always available to talk with patients regarding their personal or family situations. While they may not have all the answers, they can help provide you the information you need or direct you to other agencies/organizations who can assist you.
The Case Management Office is open Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 4:30 pm and Sundays, 10am to 4 pm.
If you wish to speak with your Case Manager, please contact your nurse who will assist you, or call extension #2573.

A Coordinated Healthcare Team will be assisting in the delivery of your care. Some of the ancillary staff may include: Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Laboratory Services and Pharmacy Services.
Volunteers contribute many hours of service to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their nametags and attire.
A member of the Environmental Services Team cleans your hospital room daily. If your room requires additional attention, please do not hesitate to contact your nurse so that it can be taken care of as soon as possible, or call extension #2788.
