North Fulton Hospital is proud to once again offer the Youth Volunteer Program in the Summer of 2011. The program is open to those 16 years of age and older and will begin June 6, 2011.
The Volunteer Program at North Fulton Hospital consists of more than 200 individuals who faithfully serve the hospital, its patients, and the North Fulton Community. “The Youth Volunteer Program is a valued aspect of the larger organization as it seeks to provide the young people in the community with opportunities for service in a healthcare setting, contributing to the well-being of North Fulton Hospital’s patients as well as the students’ understanding of an ever evolving industry,” said Millie Johnson, North Fulton Hospital Volunteer Services Coordinator.
In order to qualify for a spot in the Youth Volunteer Program, those 16 years of age and older must:

Complete an application

Have a parent sign the parent’s agreement

Submit two personal reference letters

Obtain a recommendation from a school counselor.
The aforementioned items must be returned to the Volunteer Services Office at North Fulton Hospital no later than April 5th. Students who have applied will be called following the deadline for a personal interview to review the program and answer any questions they may have. The 8-week program begins on June 6th and will open with an orientation. During the course of the 8 weeks, participants will serve six 4-hour shifts at North Fulton Hospital.
