Hospital Holds Safety Fair

K.O.P.S. posters were all over the walls of the hospital last week as a part of Safety week. They were there reminding staff to “Keep Our Patients Safe,” something that is of the utmost importance at North Fulton Hospital. Everyone from nursing to environmental services to administration is constantly working to make sure we are providing a safe environment for those entrusted in our care.

The focus of Safety week (Nov. 7th – 11th) this year was to reiterate what each employee can do on a daily basis to help make North Fulton Hospital the safest in America. The week concluded with a hospital wide safety fair on Friday, November 11th. The safety fair included information on topics such as proper techniques for moving patients, how to respond in a fire, proper patient identifiers and medical equipment safety protocol, a review of what each code means and how each department should respond, a review of wrist band color codes, and much more.

This was a chance for the hospital, the administrative team, and the employees to reassert their dedication to patient safety, reminding everyone to take a leadership role in keeping our patients safe. For more information about North Fulton Hospital, please visit www.NFultonHospital.com.
