eHealth Focus, September 2008 Summer is quickly fading, but the enthusiasm for quality at North Fulton Regional Hospital is anything but! The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association are recognizing North Fulton Regional Hospital for its performance in treating cardiac and stroke patients using the association’s Get With The GuidelinesSM program. North Fulton Regional Hospital joins 518 other hospitals being featured in an advertisement in the July 21st “America’s Best Hospitals” issue of US News & World Report. North Fulton Regional Hospital is one of only two hospitals in the state of Georgia and one of only 29 in the country to have reached award status in all three of the programs the American Heart Association supports. In addition to the recent Bronze award for Stroke, the hospital has also achieved the Silver award for both Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure.

Women's Services Receive 5 Stars for Patient Satisfaction Who says bigger is better? This is certainly not the case in the Women’s Center at North Fulton Regional Hospital. With consistent 5-Star patient satisfaction ratings since the start of 2008, this department has shown that personalized care is alive and well. “On a scale of 1-5, I would score my experience at NFRH to be a 10,” says one patient. “Thank you so much to all the caring nurses in the Women’s Center! It was the best hospital stay I have ever had…thank you, thank you!” says another. These comments and countless others just like them provide motivation to the staff in the Women’s Center to continue doing what they do best: care. A 5-Star rating is the highest rating that can be given to any Tenet hospital in regard to patient satisfaction. North Fulton Regional Hospital offers a variety of options for childbirth. It's your baby...we want it to be your experience. Read more here.

Custom Fit Knee Replacement Speeds Up Recovery and Eases Pain North Fulton Regional Hospital has become the first institution in north metro Atlanta to offer custom-fit total knee replacement. Using advanced 3-T MRI imaging and computerized 3-D imaging, orthopedic surgeons can more precisely match the size and placement of the implant to the patient’s unique and normal (non-arthritic) knee anatomy. The goal of the new custom-fit approach is to enable surgeons to preserve more of the patient’s own bone and ligaments, allowing for better implant fit and alignment.
