North Fulton Hospital operates a 28-bed Critical Care Unit that incorporates intensive care, cardiac care and neuro trauma intensive care. Located on the second floor of the new patient tower, the Critical Care Unit is equipped and staffed with specially trained critical care personnel.

Due to the medical condition of the patients in this area, limited visiting hours have been instituted.

  • 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
  • 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm  (Quiet Time/No Visitors)
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • 8:00 pm – 8:30 pm

A family waiting area is located outside the entrance to the unit. We also have a Family Sleep Room that is available for 24-hour increments. Please ask a nurse or case manager for more information.

North Fulton Hospital also operates a 10-bed neonatal intensive care unit to provide special care for premature and/or critically ill infants and those with complications. Located near the Women’s Center, the NICU is managed by our neonatologist along with a staff of specially trained and experienced registered nurses and respiratory therapists.
