North Fulton Hospital recognizes the importance of patients receiving visitors during their hospital stay. Every effort will be made to accommodate visitors of the patient’s choice during their hospitalization, except when an individual’s presence infringes on others’ rights, safety, or is medically or therapeutically contraindicated. In the event the Hospital has to restrict visiting privileges, the patient or Support Person will be informed of the reasons for the restrictions or limitations on the patient’s rights. The Hospital shall inform each patient (or his or her Support Person, where appropriate), at the time he or she is informed of his or her other rights, of their visitation rights. At no time will the Hospital restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of age, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. All visitors designated by the patient (or Support Person where appropriate) shall enjoy full and equal visitation privileges consistent with patient preferences.
We do ask that you make note of the following visiting guidelines:
- North Fulton Hospital is a tobacco free campus. Visitors may not smoke anywhere on the hospital campus.
- We ask that visitors of the patients in semi-private rooms be considerate of both patients.
- Visitors with colds, sore throats, or any contagious illness should not visit patients.
- We ask that a quiet environment be kept when visiting.
- Visitors may be asked to leave a room during tests or treatments or when a nurse or physician needs to see the patient.
- Visitors are asked to park in the parking garage across from the main entrance.
For questions regarding visitation please call the hospital at 770-751-2500.

There are specifically designed lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the atrium. Specific waiting areas have been designated for Surgical Waiting, Critical Care Areas, and the Emergency Department. We ask that you refrain from eating and drinking in these areas and would be happy to assist you in locating the dining area or gazebo. During certain hours, a member of our Volunteer Department is on duty in the Surgery Waiting and Critical Care Areas Waiting to keep family members informed of the progress of surgery or of your loved one's conditions.
