North Fulton Hospital and commercial real estate developer Duke Realty will host a grand opening event for the North Fulton Medical Plaza, a new 52,000-square-foot medical office building that will enable the hospital to enhance outpatient care to suburban Atlanta counties. The grand opening will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the new facility, located directly across from the hospital at 4500 Hospital Blvd. in Roswell.
The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony for two of the hospital’s core outpatient facilities—the Pain and Spine Center and Roswell Imaging Center. Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tours, the hospital will host “Business After Hours” for The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
The new facility provides the hospital with an opportunity to grow their pain management and diagnostic imaging services in an updated, functional-design layout.

The Pain and Spine Clinic has been built to ambulatory surgery–center standards, which are more stringent than regulations covering typical medical office buildings. The space includes larger recovery rooms and operating rooms to accommodate more medical equipment.
The new facility features spa-like design elements in the registration area and in Roswell Imaging Center, a women’s imaging/diagnostic center; a two-level atrium; high ceilings; and canopy-covered drop-off/pick-up areas on the ground and first floors. The building is connected on the ground and first floors to North Fulton Hospital’s adjacent parking deck and also includes 77 surface parking spaces.
The architect for the project was ASD of Atlanta and the general contractor was the Atlanta office of Brasfield & Gorrie.
