NFH Places High Importance on Quality with Hiring of New Director, Continuous Quality Improvement
North Fulton Hospital increases its emphasis on exceptional, quality care with the hiring of Director of Continuous Quality Improvement Carol Barone, RN, BSN. Carol comes to NFH following a rich, 30-year career as a nurse.
Carol began her nursing career in the field of women’s health, working as a nurse in the nursery, NICU and labor and delivery areas. She has worked in various capacities as a staff nurse and nursing manager in the years that followed. In the years since 1999, Carol has served at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana, and Doctors Hospital of Jefferson in Metairie, Louisiana as the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement. Her duties at each of these facilities included accountability for Quality, Risk, Utilization Management, Infection Control, Employee Health. Commitment to Quality (C2Q) and Initiative Champion for Tenet Quality programs, among other things. She also has experience in Risk management.
Carol received her nursing degree from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana. North Fulton Hospital looks forward to her leadership in the areas of quality and risk management.
