As part of its tobacco free initiative, North Fulton Hospital will offer the GetQuit Clinic, a free workshop to help smokers quit the habit. The clinic will take place at the hospital on Wednesday, March 3rd, at the following times: 7 am, 6 pm, and 7:30 pm.
On November 19th, 2009, North Fulton Hospital announced it would go smoke free in 2010. The announcement came during a public press conference.
The official day the hospital will become smoke free is April 1st. To prepare for the switch, North Fulton Hospital is providing employees and the community an opportunity to attend a free workshop led by a tobacco treatment specialist. Attendees of the clinic will receive straightforward information and tools designed to help smokers quit smoking.
