A recent article from Bloomberg Business Week reveals a very scary fact: many people still do not understand how to perform CPR. As a result, many people who could get help when they are experiencing cardiac arrest are not receiving assistance, simply due to others not knowing what to do. (click here to read the article in full).
Most hospitals, including North Fulton Hospital, provide CPR trainig classes wherein people can learn CPR, take a test, and become certified.
But what about those people who don't need to be certified? Most people's jobs do not require that they be certified in CPR, so a class for which they must pay might not be as appealing. This June 19th, North Fulton Hospital will offer FREE CPR training courses for these very people. There will be no test; rather, registrants will simply learn the essential skills that could save someone's life.
The first class begins at 9 am at North Fulton Hospital. Classes will be approximately 2 hours in length, and additional class times will be added as needed. For more information and to register, please call 770-751-2660 or select the 'Find an Event' tab on the left and register Online.
