Medical Weight Loss Success
As told by Sheardia Ashley... My experience in the Lifesteps® program was very challenging, and yet…fun! The program taught me about changing my daily habits and prepared me to change my lifestyle in its entirety. While participating in this 12-week series, I learned to focus on myself. Now, keep in mind that this was the first weight loss program I had ever participated in; therefore, I was a little uncomfortable, but Lifesteps® is structured for the comfort of the participant. Being assigned my own personal mentor also allowed me to accept constructive criticism without feeling embarrassed.

Sheardia, before her experience in the Lifesteps® Program.
Lifesteps® affected more than just my weight…This program has changed my lifestyle. I was diagnosed with hypertension and hypothyroidism about 17 years ago. Due to these health issues, I had to take five pills a day. Thanks to Lifesteps® and the weight loss that resulted, I am blessed to be down to four pills a day. I know some people may say, “One pill…what’s the big deal?” My reply to comments such as these is, “You have to start somewhere!” If I was able to come off one medication, I can surely come off the other four if I continue to keep up the good work.

Sheardia today, happier and healthier.
So how much weight did I lose? At the beginning of the program I weighed 246 pounds; now I am proud to say that I weigh a magnificent 223 pounds, a loss of 23 pounds! This program really aims to satisfy, and it was exactly what I needed in order to change my lifestyle for the better. Many thanks go out to each of the members of the Lifesteps® team: the program coordinators, dieticians and the fitness instructor. Each and every one of you really made a change in my life, and for that I will be forever grateful.
